Prof. Dr. David Wagner



     

David Wagner ist Professor für International Business und Digital Business, Akademischer Direktor für den Doctor in Business Administration (DBA) und Prodekan für Forschung an der 17Թ. Er lehrt, forscht und berät in den Bereichen digitale Strategie, digitale Innovation und digitale Transformation. Er ist Preisträger des MBS Teaching Award 2022 und des MBS Research Award 2023.

David Wagner studierte Betriebs- und Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität in Magdeburg und Wirtschaftspsychologie an der University of Nottingham, Großbritannien. Er promovierte im gemeinsamen Graduiertenprogramm der Europa-Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder und der German Graduate School of Management and Law in Heilbronn, Deutschland. Er war u. a. Gastwissenschaftler an der McGill University in Montreal, Kanada.

Neben seiner Tätigkeit in der Wissenschaft war David Wagner in der internationalen Wirtschaftsförderung, in verschiedenen Technologieunternehmen und als Berater für Digital Business tätig. Parallel zu seinem Engagement an der 17Թ arbeitet er weiterhin mit renommierten Organisationen im privaten und öffentlichen Sektor zusammen.

In seiner Forschungstätigkeit geht David Wagner der Frage nach, wie digitale Technologien Werte schaffen und Innovationen fördern können. In diesem Zusammenhang untersucht er, welche Strategien und/oder Fähigkeiten Organisationen entwickeln, um mit diesen technologischen Veränderungen umzugehen. David Wagner verfügt über umfangreiche Expertise im Bereich der sozialen Medien und Online Communities. Er hat zahlreiche Journalartikel, Buchkapitel und Berichte veröffentlicht und spricht regelmäßig auf Konferenzen, Workshops und in den Medien.
